On Monday, Westwind hosted our annual operator’s meeting. Operators working in the French-Severn Forest gathered at the Magnetawan Community Centre. Staff from Westwind and MNRF provided updates on health and safety, planning, licensing, billing, and the annual work schedule. Operators also looked over harvest allocations for the 2019-2029 plan.

Everyone also celebrated Tom Bryson’s career with Westwind. Tom started with Westwind in 1998 and will be retiring this week. Tom was involved with developing the compliance program in Ontario and has played an important role in managing the French-Severn forest particularly in the NE quadrant. Congratulations to Tom on retirement; Westwind will certainly miss him.
