These operators have an OLLA or Over-Lapping License Agreement with Westwind as well as an FRL (Forest Resource License) with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF). These documents confirm their entitlement to harvest on Crown land in the French/Severn Forest. They cannot commence harvest operations until Westwind has established that all the necessary pre-conditions and documents are in place.
Round logs and fuelwood from the French-Severn forest are FSC® certified.

Tim Bryson Forestry Services' home location is in Sundridge, but they have satellite yards in South River and in Whitestone Township. It was started in 2002 as a sole proprietor tree marking company, then began logging in 2004/5, and incorporated in 2011. They specialize in specialty log orders of all species for size and length, and can fill just about any order for most northern hardwood species, white & red pine, spruce, hemlock, tamarack, cedar. They keep most non-perishable species in stock.

Tembec has a hardwood sawmill with a capacity to produce 30 Million board feet annually. The mill was constructed in 1972 and purchased by Tembec in 1989. Lumber products are sold green with the feature species being sugar maple. Other species processed at the sawmill include birch, red oak, beech, black cherry, ash and red maple. It provides a strategic link to the Temiscaming pulp mill in providing fibre for the pulp mill as well as the cogeneration plant.
