Georgian Bay Biosphere Reserve
Established in 1998, the Georgian Bay Biosphere Reserve Inc. is a non-profit community organization comprised of volunteers with a common purpose. At GBBR Inc. they are guided by the core values of a shared “Georgian Bay Feeling” and Integrity, Respect, Innovation, Knowledge, and Cooperation.
Muskoka Watershed Council
Muskoka Watershed Council was founded by The District Municipality of Muskoka and the Muskoka Heritage Foundation in October of 2001. MWC is not a regulatory or enforcement agency. Instead, it provides information to decision-makers, managers and the general public on ways to protect and restore the resources of our watersheds.
Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) is responsible for managing
Ontario’s natural resources in accordance with the statutes that it
administers. As the province’s lead conservation agency, MNRF is
steward of Ontario’s provincial parks, natural heritage areas, forests,
fisheries, wildlife, mineral aggregates, fuel minerals, Crown lands and
waters.
MITIG Forestry Services Ltd.
MITIG Forestry Services Ltd. is an established consulting firm providing computerized mapping services and resource analysis to government, non-profit organizations and forest industries. Their staff bring extensive experience and practical knowledge in forestry, planning, and in geographic information systems (GIS). They provide GIS services to a number of Boreal and Great Lakes - St. Lawrence SFL clients.
